Hab-it Exercises › Forums › Ask Tasha! › symptom increase with advanced program
Tagged: post partum, prolapse symptoms
Hi Tasha-
First of all, thanks for making the advanced program, it feels good to challenge myself again.
I’m 20wks PP and have worked through your DVD comfortably and am currently on the second time through the 7 workout series. Is it normal to have a slight increase in prolapse symptoms immediately after finishing the workout? My instinct is that it’s from my core being fatigued since it returns to normal by the next morning. I do stop repetitions before losing form (usually doing 6 reps for any plank exercise and occasionally having to cut out the 3rd set for now), so I’m guessing I’m not doing further damage, but I wanted to get your opinion on it.
Thanks! Lindsay
Lindsay,
It can be just fatigue, but take a close look at your form (keep your rectus quiet) and make sure not to breath hold with any exercise – not even for a split second.
As long as you are focused on this and feeling your tail bone lift with squats, multifidi extensions, etc. then you are on the right track!
