    Tasha,
I am 7 months postpartum with a stage 2/3 cystocele. I have been through physical therapy and continue to do my pelvic floor exercises 3-4 times per week. I have been swimming and walking for 6 months and just recently re started the elliptical trainer. I took my first spinning class this week and am curious if it is “safe” for me to rise from the bike seat during class.

Emily, it is safe for you to rise from the bike seat, but use your body intelligence to teach you how to do it appropriately. I love the bike, because you are reaching forward for the handle bars, with pressure on your sit bones and pubic bone (neutral spine with a good lift of your tail bone right?) So don’t lose that neutral spine when you stand up! Be sure your chest stays up and your tail bone lifted and you are good! (Have you looked at my 7 Day Advanced program? Highly recommended if you are looking to work your way into more intense exercise like spinning!)
