    Just a quick question about optimal posture…when I am in neutral spine position all day long during all my regular activities, should I be holding my TA up and in all the time, or is that just for exercising? Thank you for your very valuable time, you have no idea how much I appreciate you!!


    When you are in neutral spine, your chest is up and your whole anterior connective tissue, including your TA is pulled taught. It is more of an exercise in positioning of your pelvis in neutral and then staying long with your chest up vs. a strong TA pull up and in.

    It is “on” in order to hold your pelvis in neutral spine but it is not a strong contraction. Hope that makes sense!
